Minister for Transport and Civil Aviation Walter Schnaubelt has suspended Rex Kiponge as Managing Director of the National Airports Corporation.
In the gazettal notice, Minister Schnaubelt under his powers conferred by Section 147AG of the Civil Aviation Act 2000 amended (2022), announced the suspension of Kiponge as Managing Director and appointment of Joseph Tupiri as Acting Managing Director for a period of three months.
The suspension and appointments were effective as of December 5th 2022.
