St John crew attend to shootout casualties

At 10:45 this morning, three St John Ambulance crew were dispatched to RH Gordon’s following a radio call from Police.

St John said they were informed of a shootout at RH Gordon’s where there were casualties.

“Ambulance officers arrived 6 minutes after being dispatched at exactly 10:51am,” stated SJA.

“Dispatched was a paramedic and six Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). 

“Other crews were alerted to be on standby if there were more casualties.

“St John confirms attending to two individuals with gunshot wounds to the chest.

“Both were in serious condition but were stable and taken to Port Moresby General Hospital.

“St John would like to thank the police for ensuring the area was secured before they moved in to attend to the casualties and for escorting the ambulance to the hospital.”
