Reopening celebrations are underway for the grand opening of the iconic and redeveloped Era Kone (Ela Beach).
Performances from live band, acrobatics, breakdances and traditional dances have been setting the tempo from the afternoon and into the evening when the formalities will kick off.
Hundreds of residents have gathered as dignitaries comprising of NCD Governor Powes Parkop, Moresby North-East and Moresby South MPs Justin Tkatchenko and John Kaupa, Heath Minister Sir Dr Puka Temu, Minister Assisting the PM William Samb, City Manager and the NCDC Executive Management await the arrival of Prime Minister Peter O'Neill.
