Registration underway for tourism forum

Registration is underway for the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) National Forum on Sustainable Tourism for Development.

The Forum will be held on March 20 in Port Moresby, hosted and facilitated by the PNG Tourism Promotion Authority and UNWTO.

This Forum provides the opportunity for all tourism industry leaders and representatives of public and private sectors to better understand the important role tourism plays.

At the end of the Forum, participants will understand the important role tourism plays in contributing to socio-economic development in PNG. This will focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially employment and poverty reduction.

Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Tobias Kulang, and Prime Minister Peter O’Neill will officiate at the event.

PNGTPA has confirmed that there are only 200 spaces available for the Forum and registration closes on March 8.
