Prime Minister nominates in Pangia

Prime Minister and incumbent Member for Ialibu Pangia, Peter O’Neill has nominated today at 1:38 PM to retain his seat. He is the first candidate to nominate for this seat.

A huge crowd turned out to witness this event with one council ward paying the Prime Minister’s nomination fee of K1,000.

He was accompanied by his son, Brian O’Neill, Finance Minister and Member for Tari Pori, James Marape, Health Minister and Member for Moresby North West Michael Malabag, Kagua-Erave MP, James Lagea, Nipa-Kutubu Mp, Jeffery Komal, Member for Mendi, De Kewanu and Member for Dei, Wesley Nukundj.

LLG President for East Pangia, Daniel Piapo after the nominations unofficially announced that O’Neill didn’t need to campaign in the electorate, instead concentrate in supporting his PNC candidates across the country.

In saying so, he also unofficially announced to the crowd of up to 10,000 people that O’Neill will return as the member for Ialibu-Pangia.

Finance Minister James Marape applauded the people of Ialibu-Pangia for the turnout and the support.

He boasted of the many developments across the country and said stability was vital to continue these services.

He is confident that PNC will form the next government after elections.
