Pom residents warned to behave: Police

With only two days left on the calendar, residents in NCD are now looking forward to ending the year and welcoming the New Year, 2018.

Police have passed on a very important message for residents to welcome the New Year responsibly.

In a briefing this morning with the NCD Metropolitan Superintendent, Perou N’dranou and his senior officers, Port Moresby residents have been warned to refrain from intolerable behaviors that will put them in trouble with the law.

NCD Police boss said for the residents to continue to behave and celebrate the same way they did during the Christmas period.

N’Dranou warns that there are a large number of police officers on the ground that will be moving out and about to monitor the city and residents.

“We have the number of law enforcers that will be moving about and we discourage anyone trying to break the rule of law to refrain and celebrate in your own homes.

“That is something we would like to remind our residents” the Met Supt stressed.
