NA dispels rumours of joining Gov’t

The National Alliance has denied speculations of the NA Block moving to Government.

The response was triggered after member for Madang, Bryan Kramer, posted on social media saying thre were talks of NA being offered seven portfolios if it moved over to the Government benches.

According to a spokesperson for National Alliance, the party is intact and such rumors were just perpetrated to destroy the good image of the party.

The source said the Party will release an official statement soon to dispel this rumor.

The party spokesperson also called on those who instigated this rumor, to not interfere with the affairs of another political party.

According to the Facebook post by the Madang MP, high-level discussions were underway between National Alliance Party Leader and Peter O'Neill to join the O'Neill-Abel Government.

In the post, Mr Kramer claimed that inside sources alleged that the Prime Minister made an offer of seven Ministries to the NA block, in a bid to have them join his Government.

While the National Alliance has denied these claims, parliament is also preparing for the Vote of No Confidence in four months’ time.
