Morobe officially releases GG

Governor-General Bob Dadae was officially released by his Provincial Government and his church over the long Easter weekend.

On Easter eve, the Morobe Provincial Tutumang (Assembly) farewelled him on behalf of the Morobe Provincial Government and its people.

On Easter Sunday, St Paul's Lutheran Church released the Governor-General as a church member of the congregation.

Governor Kasiga Kelly Naru said Dadae is the first Morobean to take the vice regal post and they are proud of such an elevation.

"Dadae is one of our Morobe sons to take the post of the Governor General and we are truly proud.

“We know that you'll really serve your people and the country well and on behalf of the people of Morobe, wish you well," he said.

The Easter church service on Sunday was also dedicated to the Governor-General.

Reverend Gary Mangiri dedicated the former Kabwum MP to the office of the Governor-General and said his promotion is the calling of the Lord and must be served with all his heart and might.

The GG spent the long Easter weekend in his province, including participating in various church gatherings.
