Kutubu LLG President calls on leaders to serve

President of Kutubu Local Level Government John Kila has called on the leaders in his district to put aside their political differences and serve their people during this time of disaster.

Mr Kila made this call after the Kutubu LLG Special Authority sworn-in new directors to the board on Wednesday in Port Moresby.

Mr Kila clarified that the two directors sworn-in replaced two members from upper Faso in Kutubu.

He said the swearing-in was for directors and not a board chairman as speculated.

“We welcome the two directors onto the board but the position of the chairman still remain with Norman Babi.”

He added that he had written to Minister responsible Kevin Isifu about the swearing-in and welcomed the new board members.

He further called on the leaders not to politicized the Special Purpose Authority but work together for the good of the people.

“This is not the time for us leaders to play politics but time to serve our people and restore normalcy in our district.”

Mr Kila further reiterated that it’s trying times and the people in the district need leaders during this disaster.
