Investigators will speak with Foodworld: Police

Police have confirmed that investigators will be talking to Boroko Foodworld about the footage of the shooting that was leaked on social media yesterday.

NCD metropolitan superintendent, Perou N’Dranou said as much as they are trying to build and compile information and evidence that can be used in court, leaking important evidence like that is uncalled for.

N’Dranou said he has the original footage but did not have any knowledge of the leaked footage until this morning.

“It is unethical and it is against the law for me to use the same. And that is where it will disrupt the investigations,” stated N’Dranou.

He reiterated that since it has already been made public, such informative evidence will be redundant in court.

The question now lies with management of Boroko Foodworld on who had leaked that footage to the general public as this does not help with the investigation that is already underway.

N’Dranou said his investigators will need to compare the leaked video with the original footage they have on hand to confirm its authenticity.

Furthermore, they will be liaising with Boroko Foodworld management and the Philippines Embassy as the investigation progresses.
