GG welcomes ambassadors to PNG

Governor General Sir Bob Dadae welcomed and accepted the credentials of two new Ambassadors to PNG on September 18th 2018.

Governor General Sir Bob Dadae welcomed and accepted the credentials of two new Ambassadors to PNG on September 18th 2018.

They are Ambassador of the Russian Federation to PNG, and Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to PNG.

Ambassador of the Russian Federation to PNG, Lyudmila Vorobieva, was the first to present her credentials to the Governor General yesterday.

Vorobieva, who is also the Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, highlighted the people-to-people relationship between both countries and expressed the desire for cooperation that will contribute to peace and prosperity.

The formalities were followed by a closed-door bilateral discussion between the Governor General and Ambassador Vorobieva.

An hour later, Sir Dadae accepted the credentials of Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to PNG, Nantana Sivakua.

The Governor General said PNG was ready to provide the necessary support to advance relations between both respective countries.
