ESP commander acknowledges Baki’s directive

Provincial Police Commander for East Sepik, Peter Philip, has acknowledged his move to his new appointment as the commandant Bomana Training College.

He has pledged his support and said the call by the commissioner is a directive that must be taken seriously.

PPC Philip said there was public concern regarding his move however, he is confident in the next person who will be the PPC for East Sepik.

He described the move as a challenge and a promotional transfer and is encouraging the next PPC, who he says is a very experienced senior officer from West Sepik, to be the best and he believes that the PPC transferring from West Sepik has a wealth of experience to manage policing in the province.

Philip has been serving as PPC for East Sepik for over two years.

He said some of the challenges he faced were during the major events in the province, like the 40th Independence celebrations, forty years provincial celebration and the delivery of a safe and free election.

The official hand-over take-over is planned to take place sometime during this month for both the East Sepik PPC post and the commandant post in Port Moresby.
