Minister for National Planning and Monitoring, Richard Maru, said he is proposing to Cabinet the establishment of the District Town Improvement Program (DTIP).
He said the DTIP will ensure each major town in a district will receive necessary funding support to have all services as major urban areas.
Minister Maru said under the DTIP, district towns will have all core services available.
The Minster said the Planning and Monitoring Department will be travelling to the district to do a stock take of all major towns.
