Dadae sworn in as 10th GG

The Parliament today sworn in the 10th Governor General of Papua New Guinea.

Governor General elect Bob Dadae took is his oath of loyalty to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and the Queen of England before Chief Justice Sir Salome Injia in Parliament.

The swearing in ceremony was the only agenda of the day before Parliament adjourned to March 28, 2017.

The new Governor General arrived at the Parliament house at 1:52pm before a guard of honour by the PNG Defence Force ceremonial guards, and a combined Royal PNG Constabulary and Correctional Service band.
