The 2018 National Budget Press Lock-up is underway at the State Function room at the National Parliament in Port Moresby.
The Press Lock-up is divided into two sessions.
Members of the media, business executives and other stakeholders were present to witness the handing down of the 2018 Budget.
The first session in the morning will include the Secretary for Treasury Dairi Vele and Planning Secretary Hakaua Harry doing their presentations.
Meantime, the afternoon session will include the Treasury Minister Charles Abel and Planning Minister Richard Maru.
Abel will then proceed to the chamber and table the 2018 Budget in Parliament at around 2:30pm.
This will be the first budget to be handed down by Abel in the capacity as a Treasurer.
