More than 30 retirees were recently farewelled from the Bougainville Public Service in a small but significant ceremony in Buka.
ABG Minister for Public Service, Joseph Mona, thanked them for their years of service to the government and to the people of Bougainville.
He encouraged the retirees to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
Additionally, the ABG Department of Personnel Management and Administrative Services facilitated a number of induction and training programs for the retirees to assist them in their transitional exit from public service.
Minister Mona encouraged them to use these entrepreneurial skills to manage their entitlements well.
The retirees served in various departments, including the departments of Health, Finance, Primary Industries and Technical Services.
