PNG community hosts national team

It was a homecoming feeling for Team PNG as the local PNG community in Port Vila hosted them to a church service and a get together luncheon on Sunday.

The community had the opportunity to meet and talk to Team PNG athletes and officials and expressed their support for the team.

Team PNG had the opportunity to share some food, stories and performances from community members.

Master of ceremony and Team PNG’s liaison officer, Aidoz Lohia, said many of the community members have been living in Vanuatu for more than 10 years and it was good to see their country’s national team visit through their participation at the Games.

The program began with a church service hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu’s congregation at Seaside Palmers, followed by a luncheon and get together.
