PNG’s Beach volleyball pair of Emily Bae and Michelle Walo couldn’t qualify for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games despite beating Tuvalu today.
This week’s matches at the VAN2017 Pacific Mini Games were the qualifiers for GFC 2018.
PNG however did not qualify as they went down to Solomon Islands and Fiji on Thursday.
The women’s beach volleyball team will however remain in the competition to compete for the VAN2017 title.
The actual matches for the Pacific Mini Games will begin next week and PNG will be hoping for a better result with a medal.
The men’s beach volleyball team, however have a better chance of qualifying for the commonwealth games after they defeated Vanuatu in a tight contest.
