PIH observes Nurses Day

The Pacific International Hospital commemorated the International Nurses Day today.

This international day is celebrated around the world on 12 May (the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth) each year, to mark the contributions nurses make to society.

The theme for this year is 'A voice to lead - achieving sustainable development goals'.

PIH celebrated the day with in-house presentations and dramas staged by each departments within the hospital. The message stressed was being the voice.

"We are the voice, we are the nurses. We are the ones to build a better place, so let's start leading...." a group sang, as their version of "We are the world" song.

Their aim is to be the voice to see no hunger, good health and wellbeing, quality education and gender equality.

"Help spread awareness, be the leading advocate."
