The Bishop of the Diocese of Kavieng, Rochus Tatamai, has been appointed as Archbishop of Rabaul.
In a statement, the Apostolic Nunciature in PNG said Pope Francis has accepted the resignation presented to him by Most Reverend Francesco Panfilo, SDB, for having reached the age limit.
“Congratulations to Most Reverend Rochus Tatamai msc. Gratitude to Archbishop Francisco Panfilo sdb.”
