It’s today!

Ceremony and International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be held today (December 1) at Cheshire DisAbility Services compound in Port Moresby.

The theme for the day is ‘Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all’.

As part of the celebrations, Cheshire has always observed the day in conjunction with the inclusive education’s integration ceremony.

The integration will see about 55 students with – and without – disabilities, including home-based students, graduate formally and integrate into the mainstream schools.

The graduands, while attending the inclusive education, have received training from specialised and trained teachers.

This means students with and without special needs have acquired specialised skills and specific individualised support in class.
