Hat business in the business to assist youths

There’s a special hashtag Barata Streetstuf has been running with lately.

Were you also wondering what #laesbeed17 stands for?

The secret was revealed yesterday when the “baratapng cap and hat range” announced Lae’s first ever spelling bee & debates competition.

What makes this event special? It’s an event organised by youths to provide a platform for other youths to voice their opinions on issues they face, from the youth perspective.

Barata Streetstuf only started in July of 2015 and has widely reached youths within PNG and the region.

As a well-established headwear range and youth-focused business, Barata Streetstuf is taking this step further in its approach to its Social Responsibilities Plan

The event will be accompanied by a special performance by Barata Streetstuf Partners DJ TraVy, an up-and-coming DJ in the PNG music scene, who will be debuting an exclusive youth positive music track highlighting the issues youth face, and their affirmations for the future.

This track will feature guest vocals from Lae Native and Vocal Fusion Singing Sensation, Tehila Ben-Oba, which will also be released to mainstream radio.

Attendance to the event is free to the public, except the finals day, with tickets going on sale for K5 early next month.
