Friends that Care

A mini multi-production studio with it partners have initiated a concept to promote the slogan ‘Let children be AIDS free citizens’.

With the support and the backing of the UN AIDS, Friends that Care (FTC) is comprised of various talented artist aimed at doing awareness on HIV and AIDS through producing audio tracks and video clips under the FTC productions labels and copyright.

The group was initiated by founder Henry Sebea and was officially launched and endorsed by the National AIDS Council Secretariat (NACS) in 2002.

In 2013, FTC launched an initiative called ‘FTC Vision 2020’ which was an educational booklet on HIV & AIDS with its theme; ‘Let children be AIDS free.’

Having its major focus on educating young children about the disease, FTC is working with business houses, donors, government agencies as well as UN AIDS to raise funds for the publication on the booklets to be supplied in community schools nationwide.

FTC co-founder, Emma Sebea, said this campaign is to enforce and emphasize commercial responsibilities to protect and sustain children from being affected by the virus therefore they are looking to raise an amount between K10,000 to K20,000.

The fundraiser event is set to take place this Friday at The Cosmopolitan with various local artist and talents in the likes of 3 Kings, Straky and Riika to perform live on stage on a voluntary basis.

Tickets are being presold for K30 and K40 at the gate.

All proceeds go towards the publication and distribution of the FTC Vision 2020 educational booklet nationwide.
