You are your own doctor!

She said men, women and young girls in PNG have all been affected by this form of cancer and leaving it to its late stage was the common and very dangerous mistake made by everyone.

"Please check your breast. Women and girls, every month after your menstruation. And men, every month.

“Any lump that stands out should be checked. Utilise your aid posts and health centers in districts and provinces," she said.

She appealed to every health personnel to act swiftly and quickly with this cases.

"This is how we can get rid of breast cancer totally. Treat the smallest abnormalities with priority. Refer each patient quickly to the higher levels. Don't tell them to wait!"
