​PIH to host advanced care camp

The Pacific International Hospital is hosting another of its Advanced Cardiac Care Camp, this time in Kimbe, West New Britain Province.

The 3-day advanced cardiac camp has been organised with the West New Britain Provincial Health Authority.

The camp commences today, July 5, and runs through to Friday, July 7, and will be stationed at the Kimbe General Hospital.

The camp will conduct ECG tests, echo-cardiogram & will have a senior consultant (cardiologist) – Dr Suresh Venkita – counselling patients, for free.

He will also talk to the aggregated medical fraternity (grand round) on the medical aspects of heart failure, in a talk titled “Heart Failure - Recent Advances” on Friday (8am – 9am).

Also on ground will be Dr Mathias Sapuri, Stanislaw S Tao, CEO, WNBPHA, Dr Alfred Malagasia, Deputy Director, Medical Services, Dr Victor Golpak, Director Curative Health Services, PIH Medical Outreach Team.

This is part of the Annual Outreach Program of PIH.

The program is to communicate the message that PIH is not just a POM bound medical organisation but aims to serve the entire population of PNG.

Slowly but steadily it aims to reach out to all of Papua New Guinea and give them advanced, world-class healthcare services.
