Tati Mangi PNG set to release second album

Amidst all the chatter, Tati Mangi PNG has announced the progress of his second album which should be out sometime in April this year.

Currently in its final stages, Tati says the album will consists of 10 songs which he recorded under Panakatsu Studios.

The album makeup is of traditional/culture songs, reggae and covering issues and situations in PNG such as corruption and unemployment, as well as some love element.

His first album was released in 2013 also under the Panakatsu Studios, for which he got the Album of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards at the 2014 Yumi FM Music Awards.

He is confident about the upcoming album just like he is confident about his music in general.

“I want to make PNG music stand out from the rest, make it unique and like the bird on the flag, make it sour/fly in other parts of the world,” he said.

Tati was part of the first who joined up with Honlly Isaac to form the Jokema band.

He later broke away to do his own thing, running solo as Tati Mangi PNG.

He is known by his songs So Fine, Give it to me, Wong Kareng and SSM Anthem
