Reignite your passions at the Cinemas

It’s common saying that movies don’t make for a great date or for first dates.

Rachel Kramer Bussel, an author on CNN, is one who politely argues otherwise.

“Yes, there's two hours of silence, but there's also making the plan to meet up, waiting for the movie to start, eating the popcorn, dissecting it afterwards, all of which can give you insight into what a guy is like and giving you something other than yourselves to talk about.”

So keeping our promise to source out “love havens”, Loop PNG lifestyle, stopped by at the Paradise Cinema.

You cannot deny the cinemas is definitely a spot for lovers.

Adding fuel to your love energy, Paradise Cinemas is observing this Valentine’s Day, early.

Yes you’ve already guessed it! The movie for this special occasion is FIFTY SHADES FREED - the last instalment on the Fifty Shades Trilogy.

Always ready to bring it first to you, the paradise cinemas have released it a day before the international screening slated for today, February 9.

FIFTY SHADES FREED premiered yesterday, February 8, on the big screens in Port Moresby.

Valentines came early at Paradise Cinemas. Tonight, the cinemas have a FIFTY SHADES DATE NIGHT for only K99 for 2 persons.

“This package includes 2 movie tickets for a couple plus food and drinks.   The said movie would have its initial run from February 8-14.  Depending on the response of the public, we will extend it for another week if needed, “says the head of paradise cinemas, Prue Go.

“Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love and affection. It should not only be celebrated on February 14 but throughout the year,” Go added.

Paradise Cinemas is the first multiplex cinema in the country.  It was a joint business venture of the CPL Group, PNGFM and the Damodar Group of Fiji.

It was established in 2012 when there were no cinemas in Port Moresby for many years, following the closure of Wards Cinema and Skyline Drive-In during the yesteryears.

There are currently two branches – the pioneering theatre at Vision City and the other one is located at Waigani Central.
