PNG Fashion Week extends reach

PNG Fashion Week launched its 2019 campaign with Port Moresby Fashion Week in April, and is set to hit other major centres around the country thanks to the continued support of PNG Air.

In its second year of partnership, the PNG Fashion Week brand will in an unprecedented move, now reach all four regions making it officially a national brand.

Adding to its Lae Fashion Week brand are shows in Alotau (Milne Bay), Kokopo (East New Britain) and Wabag (Enga).

“We are excited to be supported by a great homegrown PNG brand, PNG Air, who is giving our people through this platform a chance to not just showcase and market their brands locally but to travel to Port Moresby to be a part of the prestigious PNG Fashion Week,” said PNG Fashion Week Director and Founder, Philma Kelegai.

“This is not possible without the support of partners like PNG Air.”

PNG Air is happy to continue to support PNG Fashion Week as it gives so many Papua New Guineans great opportunities. These sentiments were echoed by Linda Honey, Commercial Sales Manager of PNG Air.

Through this partnership, a top designer and model will be selected from each of these four centres to fly to Port Moresby to participate in PNG Fashion Week, set to take place at the prestigious APEC Haus in October.
