PNG fans impress at concert

Jamaican dancehall sensation Charly Black has left PNG a satisfied man, confident of his fan base here.

It wasn’t just Party Animal fans sang along to.

Even Jamaican nationals at the concert were pretty impressed to hear the PNG audience singing along to other Charly Black songs like Nicest, Buddy Buddy and Wine and Kotch.

Charly Black arrived in the country on Saturday and took to the stage of The Cosmopolitan club early Sunday morning for a one-time performance only.

It was a packed house with the super club filling as early as 9pm on Saturday night, forcing the doors to close by 12am.

Despite a long wait for the singer, as soon as he took the stage around 1:30am, it was unstoppable.

He entered wearing Jamaican colours, spreading that Jamaican love onto his audience. A Jamaican flag was also spotted in the crowd.

The crowd was definitely hyped right from the start.

No denying the dancehall energy that filled the air, where some lucky female fans were invited onto the stage.

Freebies and posters were given out. Some fans even had the chance for a meet and greet and autograph.

The one hour performance ended by 2:30am, leaving fans wanting more.

Charly Black left PNG for Sydney yesterday to complete the last leg of his Australia-New Zealand tour.
