PNG All-Stars to raise funds for children

Eight local artists are gearing up to perform at a charity concert to help raise funds for the Papua New Guinea Children’s Foundation (PNGCF).

The artists are female singer Mereani Masani, underground rapper SpriggaMek, O-Four, Dadiigii, Saii Kaii, Planet Native feat. DJ Dirty Fingerz, Moses Tau and couple Henry & Sentanya Gewang.

The PNG All-Stars for Charity concert is scheduled for Saturday, August 5, at the Lamana Gold Club. All proceeds from presold tickets and gate sales will go to the PNGCF.

Organiser Jacquie Simons confirmed that all takings will help build a new classroom for children at Six-Mile.

Simons said: “We currently have a classroom at Six-Mile that has too many kids to fit with over 150 students, so we are planning to build another classroom.

“We would like to do this show biannually to raise money for the PNGCF.”

Simons highlighted that there will be a fireworks display as part of the finale at the end of the show.

The artists performing at the shows will be part of the PNG All-stars band, supporters of the PNGCF.

Other sponsors of the concert include Lamana Hotel and the Blue7 Team.

Tickets are selling at Lamana's reception at early bird K50 for arena and K80 for balcony, while gate sales is K70 for the arena and K100 for balcony.
