Music fans pack Lamana Gold Club for Awards

What more can you ask for when you have almost all local musicians locked in at one venue, then to be present yourself.

And it would have to be the biggest crowd to have poured into Lamana, Gold Club this year.

By 11pm, the club dubbed as the "party capital of the South Pacific" was packed to capacity as hundreds of Port Moresby residents, mostly fans, flooded in to witness the 13th YumiFM PNG musik awards. It was worth it as they were kept entertained with live performance by favourite artists including Sai Kay, Tarvin Tounie and Wame Blood to name a few.

Hits like "lonely" by Sai Kay and his collaboration with O'four, Dj Dirtyfingerz and Tarvin Tounie "Iau Mainge U", "Rowena" by Tarvin Tounie, "Bilas Bilum" by Sharzy and others had the crowd singing along as loud as they can.

Apart from a few drunkard brawls, 13th YumiFM PNG musik awards was a successful night. PNG FM general manager , Charles Taylor said it was an achievement to be proud of.

He thanked sponsors who believe in the music industry and continue to support the radio stations efforts.

The event was also a celebration of the success for YumiFM being the biggest reach radio station in PNG and The Pacific. At the moment, PNGFM covers at least 45 percent of the market.
