Jewellery: 21yo to launch 50 new designs

Tiana Reimann didn’t think PNG was a good market when she began her online jewellery business – Zambilla & Co.

“It proved me wrong,” she says.

A year on, Reimann is now launching at least 50 new designs in Port Moresby.

The 21-year-old Business Studies student and young entrepreneur entered into a partnership with Glow Hair Boutique at the Shady Rest Hotel, to sell her jewellery range.

The launch tonight, at the Boutique, will see a 10 percent discount off any purchase of K100 or more.

Zambilla range includes earrings, bracelets and necklaces, all Papua New Guinea inspired.

Based in Brisbane, Reimann ships her products to New Zealand, Belgium, Australia and PNG.

Australia and PNG had the highest demand, she says.

The range she brings to Port Moresby includes some provincial flags inspired jewellery, like the New Ireland Province, from the Highlands region, also PNG national flag colours - with red or yellow as the prime colour, pompom and intricate spiral range – all inspired by PNG colours as well.

Reimann describes Zambilla products as “colourful, bold, makes one stand out in the crowds, light weight and made of fluff-cotton”.

The launch today is from 5pm – 8pm and is open to anyone.
