dAdiigii exits CHM

After 14 years, dAdiigii has left long time record label CHM.

He revealed this with the announcement of his two new singles soon to be released.

Sailor’s Promise and Jisas, Emi ino white mahn, will be released under MGR studio.

Entering the music industry in 2002, dAdiigii started off with CHM on contract basis.

The contract was on releasing an album. He has released three albums with CHM since.

dAdiigii confirmed that Misim Yu Tumas is the most recent song recorded and produced under the CHM label and with Raymond Waloloki as his producer.

There are few more songs already recorded but yet to be released.

With MGR studio, the singer/musician will be working with Jeremy Malir as his producer on upcoming songs.

They haven’t signed a contract yet but have a working agreement.

Jisas, Emi no white mahn is the next song to be released. It was initially titled End Times. Despite the religious title, dAdiigii says it’s not a gospel song.

The idea of the song is about the initial beliefs introduced with religion that came with colonisation, the false promises that came with development, more specifically the cargo cult movement.

An example of that, he says how locals were and are still tricked into giving up their lands easily with the promise of better things.

His songs these days are more to do with spreading awareness.
