Crowns launched for World Supermodel PNG

Be prepared PNG, the crowns have been launched!

Another milestone event achieved for World Supermodel PNG.

The big reveal was made by the official jeweller Jules Collins today at its shop in Vision City, unveiling two crowns for each categories – Adult and Teen.

Sparkling and fit for a queen with a bird of paradise atop to call Papua New Guinea, as the representative walks the international runway.

The crowns are made from a combination of base metal, sterling silver and swarovski crystals and cubic zirconias.

Collins confirmed the process took a total of six weeks, beginning from the design through to the finish.

The crowns will be passed on to the next representative, yearly.

World Supermodel PNG also unveiled its glamour calendar at the same event.

The calendar displays a series of glamour shots taken at different locations in Port Moresby to feature the lives of Papua New Guineans.

National Director Phylma Kelegai said the actual competition will kick off now.

“This has brought many opportunities and we hope Papua New Guineans will look into this,” she said.

The pageant competition is set for the coming month, May 6.
