2018 for PNG’s hip-hop underground movement is starting off with a big bang.
Nakanation 2 – sounds from the underground, will be held at the Cosmopolitan on January 19.
Nakanation is an incorporation of the words naka (from kanaka) and nation.
According to Kamako of 3KiiNgZ, Nakanation is an umbrella term to signify all PNG hip-hop artists.
The event is the second of its kind. The first was held in 2017.
This event brings all hip-hop artists under one roof – both the old and new.
Confirmed to perform are 3KiiNgZ, The AlterNatives, Noxy Dawg, SpriggaMek, Planet Native, Johnny Dean and new artists FoeFoe, BrenZ, Big Falcon and JRos'E.
There will also be guest performances from other artists like Black Bonez.
The Infinite video clip will be launched on the same night.
