Another night of Enga music!

Another night of all Engan artists under one roof is just around the corner.

The Enga music night is an annual event for music artists from the province; both established and upcoming.

It was initiated in 2016 by established recording artist from Enga, Daniel Bilip.

Bilip said the idea is to show people there is something positive other than fighting and violence associated with people from his area.

He says music is one positive tool for youth.

The Enga music night is in its third year now, usually hosted in Lae and Port Moresby respectively.

Bilip confirmed the venue and date for Lae as Club Cabana on March 30.

But he said details for Port Moresby event is yet to be finalised.

Last year, the Engan music night in POM was held at The Cosmopolitan club.

Bilip also said the number of artists this year may be more than last year's.

Mel Meninga, Bata Rods, McDonald Taylor are among the few making an appearance this year.

He also noted the number of artists from his locality growing.

"I want more youth to see that music is one way of making money. We've been asking our provincial government to help us but they have not responded, so we will do this on our own," he said.
