‘Hotel of stay’ for pageant

The Coral Sea Hotels Group have jumped on board the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG bandwagon.

The group has proudly announced that they will be the 2019 hotel of stay for the contestants and their committee, including the MPIP PNG Committee.

The Coral Sea Hotels Group says it is proud to be associated with the Miss Pacific Islands PNG Pageant in 2019.

Their partnership is valued at K167,000 and will cover all accommodation nights for both the local pageant week in August and the regional pageant week in November.

In welcoming the group into the MPIP PNG family, chairperson Molly O’Rourke also announced Coral Sea Hotels Group as the gold sponsor and the official home of Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2019.

“MPIP is proud to partner with Coral Sea Hotels in this journey of women empowerment through education,” she said.

Last year PNG won the bid in The Kingdom of Tonga to host this year’s Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.

The reigning Miss Pacific Islands and Miss PNG, Leoshina Kariha, said it was also timely and a great blessing to bring the crown back home to our shores.

“As much as we are honoured to be host to such a prestigious event, this honour also comes with great responsibility,” stated Kariha. “Our island neighbours from around the Pacific Region are most looking forward to their stay in the City Capital of Papua New Guinea.

“They will no doubt be astounded by the diverse display of culture, warmth and friendly people on our lands.

“They have already labelled Port Moresby as the Dubai of the Pacific. And we are most assured that we will exceed their expectations of giving them an award-winning experience throughout their stay, as for years, Coral Sea Hotels have surely added an element of class to the image of our nation.”

Meantime, the crowning of Miss PNG will be on the 31st of August while the Miss Pacific Crowning will be on the 30th of November.
