Schnaubelt: No talks between N.A and P.N.C yet

The National Alliance Party is giving its best shot to form the new Government, says Party president Walter Schnaubelt.

Schnaubelt is also the new member elect for Namatanai Open in New Ireland Province.

He confirmed that talks with smaller parties and independent candidates for a grand coalition had already started but not with the ruling, People’s National Congress Party.

“At the moment, it is P.N.C vs N.A, and N.A will give it their best shot to try and form the next government,” Schnaubelt said.

“And in terms of forming a coalition (with PNC) at this stage, it’s not insight; we are trying to make sure the numbers are on our side, and looking at smaller parties to form the next government.”

For now the N.A Party president is confident with the current 2017 National Election counting trending, optimistic that N.A will master 25 candidates.
