Marape calls for support

Finance Minister and Tari-Pori MP James Marape has called on people of Highlands region to back the People’s National Congress (PNC) Party if they want to continue to see change.

Speaking at the Commissioning of the Nipa District Hospital in Nipa, Southern Highlands District on Thursday, Marape urged them to look around them and compare the basic services to the previous governments.

“For the past 40 years, we have been neglected and not be able to access basic services.

“However, this has changed since PNC take over and provide services to the people. We will continue to deliver the services if PNC is back and form the next government,” Marape told the more than 10,000 people gathered to witness the occasion.

Meanwhile, PNC Leader and Prime Minister Peter O’Neill also called on the people to put their trust on his leadership and support them in this elections.

He further added that PNC Party policies is implemented in all the districts and rural areas despite criticisms from the critics.

“We are not selfish and greedy. We deliver services to all the districts and not to specific regions.

“We will continue to do this and I am confident our party will form the next government.”
