Incumbent Governor Powes Parkop has maintained a steady lead after count 133 in the race of the National Capital District Regional seat.
Parkop leads with 14,547 votes, a margin of 8,531 votes to second-placed Andy Bawa.

Counting was suspended at 3:30am today after count 137, with the progressive tally yet to be put up on the board.
Officials are now calculating the progressive tally for counts 134 to 137.
Counting for all ballot boxes for the regional seat from Moresby North-West Electorate has been completed.
NCD election manager, Alwyn Jimmy, confirmed that they have started counting ballot boxes from Moresby South, starting at count 133 from the Koki and Wanigela area.
