Counting resumed at 11pm last night after a recess, while the night shift retired after 7:30 this morning.
The day shift are now undergoing security checks before they proceed to the counting venue.
Moresby North-East has 154 ballot boxes to be counted. Six boxes were counted during the night shift.
At the end of count 12, Sape Molumi remains in the lead with 810 votes. Carl Okuk, who was on second place at the end of count 6, moved to third place.
