Chimbu police need vehicles replaced

The current fleet that the Chimbu Province police has will not last the entire election period.

Due to financial constraints, the province's existing logistical resources are outdated and run down, especially for the police fleet.

Provincial Police Commander David Seine said the road conditions of the province are the main reason why their vehicles are deteriorating.

“For Simbu police alone, we need more logistics.” Seine says they need replacements.

“Our condition is rugged and this is affecting the current state and condition of the vehicles on ground. We have constant wear and tear on the vehicles.”

He said however that as it is, they have been assured of support from the division and the police headquarters, as well as the provincial administration.

He adds that he is in collaboration with the provincial administration for logistical support.
