2017 National General Elections will see a first for the Goilala Open Seat to have candidates less than 40 contesting.
This seat had many candidates in previous elections.
But with the close of nominations on Thursday, only 30 were confirmed to have nominated from the 40 intending candidates who filled out Form 29.
Draws were done yesterday at Konedobu, witnessed by candidates and supporters.
