The wet weather continuous today throughout Papua New Guinea with showers in most centres.
The weather officer reports that thunderstorms are not expected in most provinces today only for Alotau and Popondetta.
In Port Moresby, Kerema and Vanimo, people will experience rain and moderate northwest winds with gusts.
Showers developing to rain in Lae, Wewak and Madang and light drizzle up in Mt Hagen, Goroka, Wabag and Kundiawa with light variable winds.
In Daru, there’s showers accompanied by strong westerly winds with gusts while Manus it’s partly cloudy with chances of showers.
For the New Guinea Islands Region, people should experience showers and strong winds in Kokopo, Kavieng, Buka and Kimbe.
Strong wind warning was also issued this morning for all coastal areas and people are urged to take extra precaution when traveling out to sea.
