Two days to go before Daffodil cup challenge

Only two days to go until the PNG Cancer Foundation (PNGCF)’s 2016 Daffodil Cup Golf Challenge.

The Challenge, sponsored by Oil Search, is now into its 14th consecutive year and is always a major fundraiser within Daffodil Month, the PNGCF's August campaign.

The PNGCF and Oil Search invites their valuable supporters to join the Golf Challenge and help raise as much funds as possible. This is to assist the PNGCF conduct provincial ‘free’ mouth and breast cancer screening programs at six locations across PNG.

This week the PNG Hunters team kindly donated a signed PNG Hunters training shirt as an auction item.

Dadi Toka Jr, CEO of PNGCF, said: “PNG Cancer Foundation is so grateful to the PNG Hunters, especially coach Michael Marum, for donating a signed training shirt to support this event.

“We hope with donations like this, we can encourage a few more teams to register and participate in Friday’s challenge.”

Top prizes include Samsung Galaxy 7S phones sponsored by Digicel, lounge passes to the Hunters game on August 27, sponsored by Oil Search, Sony headphones sponsored by CHM, plus plenty more!

PNGCF marketing & fundraising manager Hayley Chown said: “The Daffodil Cup Golf Challenge will be held this Friday at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club.

“So far, over 25 teams have registered to take part, including BSP, Heli Solutions, Marsh, Eda Ranu and Pacific Palms Property.”

“Eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and protect your family. Don’t smoke, don’t chew betel nut and reduce your alcohol intake.”
