Trukai team delivers rice to hospital patients

The Trukai Industry Limited in Mt Hagen donated a total of 50 10kg bags of rice to the patients of Mt Hagen General Hospital as part of their annual delivery in helping out the hospital with food rations for the patients.

Regional sales manager Jacob Areke and his staff delivered and offloaded bags of white and brown rice at the hospital premises for the patients’ daily rations.

Mr Areke said that this donation is a sign of the company’s appreciation for people who are fans and consumers of Trukai.

Patients and staff members as well the public gathered to witness the delivery of the bags of rice as Mr Areke made an official handover to the Western Highlands provincial Health Authority acting chief executive officer Julie Bengi.

Ms Bengi thanked Trukai Industries for their kind assistance as this rice will bring them through the New Year. She said the partnership between both organizations existed before and will continue for the wellbeing of the patients in the years to come.
