Tigers beat Panthers 16-6 in Sogeri Rugby league challenge

Rux Tigers have won the bet to the Southern zone club championship after beating I.C.E Panthers 16-6 to claim the Koiari Rugby League title today at Sogeri.

Panthers open the score board with a converted try in the 7th minute to lead 6-0.

Tigers than find their momentum with a first try which led to the second as they contain the pathers attacks with another converted penalty to lead 12-6 at break.

After the break, Tigers creeps in again into the Panthers try line to further the lead to 16-6.

Despite numerous attempts, the Panthers could not touch the footy inside Tigers try line.

However, Panthers closed the score board with a converted penalty before a fight broke out that involved supporters as the officials ceased the match and awarded the win to Tigers.

Tigers walked away with K3,000 cash prize and the trophy while panthers claimed the minor premiers as well as runner up and a K2000 in cash.

Tigers now booked a spot for the upcoming southern confrence club championships in October.
