Tickets start selling for UB40 shows

Tickets to watch British reggae/pop band UB40 live in concert in Port Moresby are selling like hot cakes.

More than 15,000 tickets started selling on Friday (11 Dec) at Lamana Hotel's reception and also at selected City Pharmacy Limited outlets.

Due to popular demand, UB40 is returning to Port Moresby to perform at the Gold Club, Lamana Hotel on Friday 22 January and at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Saturday 23rd Jan.

Tickets for the club show are selling at K250 arena, K350 balcony and K400 Temple balcony.

The outdoor stadium concert is selling at K100 for both grand stand and outer stands including the field standing area.

The concert stage will be set up on the field and nearest the stadium's current giant TV screen location.

Organisers said that the ticket prices remain the same as the audience on the field is closer but will be standing while those in the outer stand or grand stand will be seated but will be further away.

Parking will be available from the Sir John Guise Drive entry but there is a K50 fee payable at the gate.

Gates at the stadium open from 4.30pm and close at 7pm so don't be late.

Fans living out of Port Moresby but who would like to secure a ticket are urged to make prior arrangements with Lamana Hotel.

The public is warned to purchase tickets at the specific venues as tickets are security coded/ marked and will be thoroughly screened at the venues on the show nights.
