Tickets selling fast for NCD Independence celebs

Tickets to watch the live entertainment as part of PNG’s 40th Anniversary Independence celebrations at the Sir John Guise Stadium are selling like hot cakes at Stop N Shop outlets.

Both K50 grand stand and K25 outer stand tickets have sold out as of this afternoon at three of the seven Stop N Shop outlets including Town, Badili and North Waigani.

According to shop assistants, a few hundred tickets are still available at only Central Waigani and Rainbow outlets.

The National Events Secretariat confirmed that tickets must be only purchased from Stop n Shop with all proceeds going towards children’s hospitals throughout PNG.

Tickets and bags will be checked for the safety of all visitors and gates will open at 2pm and close at 4:30pm.

The program will include lowering of the flag followed by airshow and aerobatics, light shows and fireworks display to top off the night.

There will live performances by international band Michael Learns to Rock and local artists including legendary band Sanguma, PNG’s hottest band Jokema, Anslom, Kanai Pineri, Paramana Stangers and Moses Tau.
