Three squad cars serve Damaru his notice

Three squad cars went to the National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate boss’ house and served him his suspension notice this morning.

Sources at the Fraud and Anti-Corruption office say Matthew Damaru received the notice at his Bomana home, outside Port Moresby.

He was asked to hand over his car keys and firearm. He willingly handed them over then went down to the fraud office at Konedobu but was denied access into his office.

However, after talks with Police Commissioner Gari Baki, he was allowed entry.

Damaru has refused to comment to the media about his notice and wishes to remain quiet until his hearing in court in the coming week.
